fin

adjective [ fina ]
Fin means anyhting from sweet to proper. When someone says, Du är så fin it's quite a compliment.

I have admired the Swedish language and people for many years. I'm sorry to lose the chance to study online with the Swedish Word-of-the-Day. Maybe the Swedes are taking a page from the famous Finns: keep quiet, simply get drunk.

It apparently changed to "Word of the Month". The one for March will be "kostnadsminskande" ;-)

What happened to Word of the Day? It was my primary means to learn Swedish. Please bring it back!
